Quick answer
The Nendoroid Surprise My Hero Academia Heroes vs Villains Edition is a blind box containing one randomly selected Nendoroid figure from a set of characters. You won't know which figure you get until you open the box.
Why a blind box format?
Blind boxes add an element of surprise and collecting excitement. Each box is sealed, so you can't see which figure is inside until you open it. This format is popular for themed sets like My Hero Academia where fans hope to pull their favorite hero or villain.
Value and pricing trade-off
The catalog price of USD 17.64 (compared to USD 28.00) represents a discount off the reference price. However, because it's a blind box, you may receive a figure you already own or one you value less. The overall value depends on how much you enjoy the surprise and the specific figure you get.
Decision rules for buying
- 1. Know the set line-up: Research which characters are included in the Heroes vs Villains edition. Official images or community unboxings can show the possible figures. This helps you gauge your odds of getting a character you want.
- 2. Decide your collecting goal: If you want a specific character, consider buying a sealed box from a seller who guarantees a particular figure (at a premium) or trading with other collectors after opening. If you enjoy the surprise, a single blind box is fine.
- 3. Check the release date: The rerelease is scheduled for November 2026. Pre-ordering early may secure a lower price, but you'll have to wait. Buying after release may give you access to unboxing videos and community trading. Pre-order for the best price; wait for release if you want to see the figures first.
