How to set up and play Never Have I Ever
- Shuffle and deal: Shuffle the deck of 250 scenario cards thoroughly. Deal five cards face-down to each of the 3–6 players. Place the remaining cards in the center as a draw pile. Common mistake: dealing too many cards. Stick to five per player to keep rounds short and engaging.
- Start the first round: The youngest player goes first. They read one of their cards aloud: “Never have I ever [scenario].” All other players respond truthfully: “I Have” (if they have done it) or “I Have Never” (if they have not). Checkpoint: honesty is the only rule—no penalties for admitting anything. The fun comes from real stories.
- Pass cards and draw: After each round, the reader discards the used card. Players who said “I Have” pass one of their remaining cards to the reader.
