Quick Answer
For a subtle, everyday way to show Comets pride, the Road Cap Lapel Pin is a top choice—it's compact, versatile, and budget-friendly. But if you want a larger statement piece, you might consider other pin styles.
Why the Road Cap Design Stands Out
The Road Cap Lapel Pin takes its design cues from the team's road cap, giving you a piece of the game-day look in miniature. It's a compact collectible that fits neatly on a hat, jacket, or bag without overwhelming your outfit.
Compared to enamel pins that feature player names or action shots, the road cap design is more understated. If you prefer a clean, classic look, this pin delivers that without shouting.
Trade-Offs: Size and Visibility
Lapel pins are small by design, which means the Road Cap Lapel Pin is best for close-up appreciation. On a crowded concourse, it won't be as visible as a larger button or a pin with bolder colors.
If you want maximum visibility from across the room, a larger pin or a hat patch might serve you better. But for a subtle nod to your fandom, the lapel pin is hard to beat.
Price and Value Considerations
At a catalog price of $4.80 (compared to $8.00), the Road Cap Lapel Pin offers strong value. It's an affordable way to add to your collection or to gift to a fellow fan without a big investment.
Other pins in the store may cost more, especially if they feature intricate enamel work or limited-edition designs. Weigh the cost against how often you'll actually wear the pin.
Which Pin Should You Choose?
- Road Cap Lapel Pin: Choose this if you want a subtle, compact pin that works on hats, jackets, or bags. It's affordable and easy to wear daily.
- Larger Enamel Pins: If you prefer a bolder statement or want more surface area for detailed artwork, look for larger enamel pins—but expect to pay more. Consider the visibility you need before committing to a size.
- Hat Patches: If you want to permanently customize a cap with a larger design, a patch may be a better fit than a pin, which can be moved or removed. Think about whether you want a permanent or removable accessory.
