Quick answer

An open box Sanrio Bee Concert figure can save you about 28% off the catalog price, but you lose the blind-box mystery and the sealed packaging. It's a smart buy if you want the character at a lower cost and don't mind a pre-opened box.

What you get with an open box

The TOPTOY Sanrio Characters Bee Concert Series - My sweet piano figure is part of a collectible blind box line. Buying an open box means the outer seal has been removed, so you know exactly which character you're getting. The figure itself is still new and unused, but the packaging may show minor wear from handling or inspection.

The savings trade-off

At USD 11.51 compared to the catalog price of USD 15.99, you save roughly USD 4.48. That's a meaningful discount if you're buying several figures or just want one specific design. However, you give up the surprise element that makes blind boxes exciting for many collectors.

Open box vs. sealed: the trade-offs

  • Cost: Open box costs USD 11.51 versus USD 15.99 for a sealed box. You save about 28%.
  • Surprise factor: With a sealed box, you don't know which character you'll get until you open it. An open box reveals the figure, removing the mystery. If the thrill of the unknown matters to you, stick with sealed boxes.
  • Packaging condition: Open boxes may have minor wear or a broken seal. The figure inside is still new, but the box itself isn't pristine.
  • Return policy: Open box items are often final sale or have limited returns because the seal is broken. Check the store policy before buying. Read the return terms carefully to avoid surprises.
