Quick answer
The Poetry for Neanderthals Bundle includes the base word-guessing game plus the More Cards Box 1 expansion pack, all in one box at a discount compared to buying separately.
What's in the box
This bundle combines the core Poetry for Neanderthals game with the More Cards Box 1 expansion. The base game challenges you to describe words using only single-syllable speech — mess up and you get hit with an inflatable stick. The expansion adds new cards to keep the gameplay fresh for repeat sessions.
Both components are in English, so the bundle works for any group comfortable with English wordplay. The packaging is compact, making it easy to bring to game nights or trips.
Value compared to separate purchases
At a catalog price of USD 22.04 (versus USD 34.98 separately), the bundle saves roughly 37% off the combined individual prices. If you already own either component, the bundle is redundant; but if you're starting fresh, this is the most economical way to get both.
Keep in mind that More Cards Box 1 is the only expansion included. If you want other expansions like More Cards Box 2, you'll need to buy those separately.
Decision rules
- Buy the bundle if: You don't own either the base game or More Cards Box 1, and you want the most cost-effective way to get both. Check your shelf first — if you already have the base game, skip the bundle.
- Buy separately if: You already own the base game and just want the expansion, or you only want the base game without extras. Buying individually costs more, but avoids duplicate content.
- Skip the bundle if: You dislike word-guessing games, your group struggles with English vocabulary, or you prefer games with more physical action. Consider alternatives like Fast Friends or Throw Throw Avocado for different play styles.
