Quick Answer
Keep your POP MART Durian Man 400% vinyl figure away from direct sunlight and dust by using a closed display case. Clean it with a soft, dry microfiber cloth—never with water or chemicals.
Why the 400% size changes how you care for it
At 11 inches tall, the Durian Man 400% is not a small desk figure. Its size means more surface area for dust to settle and more risk of tipping over if placed on an uneven shelf. The premium vinyl material is durable but can show scuffs if handled roughly.
The figure includes soft texture elements that add to its visual appeal but require gentle handling. These parts are not removable, so cleaning them needs a careful approach.
What to avoid
Do not use any liquid cleaners, alcohol wipes, or paper towels on the vinyl surface. These can leave streaks, remove paint, or scratch the finish. The soft texture elements can trap moisture and degrade over time if exposed to humidity.
Avoid placing the figure near windows, radiators, or air vents. Direct sunlight can fade the colors, and temperature swings can cause the vinyl to become brittle or sticky.
Care Diagnosis for Your Durian Man 400%
- Dust buildup on the figure: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a clean makeup brush to gently wipe away dust every two weeks. For crevices, use a compressed air duster on low setting.
- Scuff or light mark on the vinyl: Stop. Do not rub with any liquid. Try a clean, dry eraser (the white kind used for pencil) and gently dab the mark. If the mark remains, accept it as a patina; further rubbing risks removing paint. If the mark does not come off with a dry eraser, stop cleaning and consider it part of the figure's history.
- Figure feels sticky or tacky: This can happen if the figure was stored in high heat or humidity. Move it to a cool, dry room (60-75°F / 15-24°C) with low humidity. Do not apply anything to the surface. If the stickiness persists after 48 hours, contact the seller for guidance. If stickiness does not resolve after moving to a better environment, stop home treatments and seek professional advice.
