Quick answer

The POP MART The Monsters Exciting Macaron Plush Toy Series assorted set contains 6 individually wrapped pieces, giving you one of each of the 6 normal types, with a chance to pull the secret type. If you want a specific character or prefer to buy one at a time, the random single piece is the better choice.

What the set includes

The Exciting Macaron Plush Toy Series from POP MART features 6 normal types plus 1 secret type. Each plush measures approximately 8 × 7 × 17 cm (3.1 × 2.8 × 6.7 in) and is made from a fabric blend of 45% polyester and 55% PVC. The assorted set comes as a box of 6 pieces, and each piece is individually wrapped, so you get the surprise of opening each one.

The random single piece option is the same plush, but sold individually. You won't know which design you get until you open the packaging. This is the classic blind box experience.

Assorted set vs. random piece

The main difference is certainty vs. surprise. The assorted set guarantees you'll get 6 pieces, which covers all normal types if the box is a full set. However, because the secret type is randomly inserted, you might get it in place of a normal type. This means you could end up with duplicates or miss a normal design if the secret appears.

The random piece is ideal if you only want one or two designs, or if you enjoy the thrill of the blind box without committing to a full box. It's also a lower upfront cost.

How to decide between the set and a single piece

  • You want to collect all 6 normal types: Buy the assorted set. It gives you 6 pieces, which is the most direct path to getting one of each normal design. Be aware that the secret type could replace one of the normal types.
  • You only want one specific design: Buy the random single piece. Since the set doesn't guarantee a specific character, buying one piece at a time is the lower-risk approach if you only want one or two designs.
  • You enjoy the blind box surprise: Either option works. The set gives you 6 surprises in one box, while the single piece lets you spread the experience over multiple purchases.
  • You're on a budget: Start with the random single piece. It costs less upfront, and you can always buy more later if you decide to collect more. If you later want a full set, the assorted set becomes more cost-effective per piece.
