Quick answer
If you pump while traveling, the Pump Anywhere Bag keeps your Willow pump secure and your milk cold without adding bulk. It works as a backpack, crossbody, or shoulder bag so you can carry it hands-free.
Why a dedicated bag matters for travel pumping
A standard tote or diaper bag often lacks insulation for milk storage and dedicated compartments for pump parts. The Pump Anywhere Bag solves both problems with a removable milk cooler and a sleek, compact design that fits under an airplane seat or in an overhead bin.
Because wearable pumps like the Willow are already small, the bag doesn't need to be oversized. That keeps it light and easy to carry through airports, train stations, or on daily commutes.
Trade-offs to consider
The Pump Anywhere Bag is designed specifically for the Willow pump system. If you use a different brand or a non-wearable pump, the fit may not be as snug, and the cooler compartment might not accommodate larger bottles or flanges.
At $125.99 (compared to $179.99), it's an investment. If you pump only at home or rarely travel, a less specialized cooler bag could save money. But for frequent travelers, the hands-free carrying options and integrated cooler justify the cost.
Decision rules for the Pump Anywhere Bag
- How often do you travel with your pump?: If you pump away from home at least once a week (work, errands, trips), the bag's cooler and multiple carry options make it a practical daily companion. If you pump only at home, a simple storage case may suffice. Frequency of travel is the primary factor.
- Do you need hands-free carrying?: The bag converts to backpack, crossbody, or shoulder bag. If you already push a stroller or carry a diaper bag, the backpack mode keeps your pump secure on your back. Hands-free options reduce strain during travel.
- Is milk storage temperature a concern?: The removable milk cooler keeps expressed milk cold for hours. If you pump during a workday or long outing and cannot immediately refrigerate, this feature is essential. The cooler is a must-have for long days away from home.
