Quick answer
If you already own the base game, grab the expansion pack separately. If you're new to Puns of Anarchy, the bundle saves you money and gives you more variety from the start.
What each option includes
The Puns of Anarchy base game is the core experience: you get the main deck of Punnable cards and the rules for the pun-making party game. The expansion pack adds a full box of extra Punnable cards with wild new categories, letting you mix up the prompts without buying a second copy of the base game.
The bundle combines both in one set, so you don't have to track down the expansion later. It's the same base game plus the same expansion, just sold together at a combined price.
The trade-off: cost vs. need
The bundle's catalog comparison price is USD 40.20, but it sells for USD 30.15. That's a discount compared to buying the base game and expansion separately, assuming you want both. If you're a new player, the bundle gives you the most content per dollar.
If you already own the base game, buying the bundle means paying for a duplicate copy of the game you already have. In that case, the expansion pack alone (sold separately) is the smarter choice.
Puns of Anarchy vs Expansion: trade-offs at a glance
- Buy the bundle: Get the base game and expansion together in one purchase. Best if you don't own any Puns of Anarchy yet and want maximum variety from the start.
- Buy the base game only: Start with the core experience and add the expansion later if you want more categories. Good if you want to test the game first or keep costs low.
- Buy the expansion pack only: Adds a full box of extra Punnable cards with new categories. Only makes sense if you already own the base game and want fresh prompts. Check whether you already have the base game before choosing the expansion alone.
