Quick Answer
The RE 1/100 Jagd Doga offers a detailed, large-scale representation of the mobile suit from Char's Counterattack, but builders should expect a simpler internal frame and fewer gimmicks than a Master Grade kit.
Scale and Presence
At 1/100 scale, the Jagd Doga stands tall next to other Gundam kits of the same size. Its bulky silhouette and large weapon make it a shelf-centerpiece, especially for fans of Char's Counterattack mobile suits.
Build Complexity
The RE 1/100 line focuses on external detail rather than inner frame complexity. You get a sturdy model with good surface detail, but don't expect the articulated skeleton or sliding armor gimmicks of an MG. This makes the build faster and more straightforward.
Gyunei Guss Variant
This kit represents the unit piloted by Gyunei Guss, which features a distinct color scheme and head design compared to the standard Jagd Doga. It's a great choice if you want a specific antagonist mobile suit from the movie.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the RE 1/100 Jagd Doga the same size as an MG?
Yes, it's 1/100 scale, so it's similar in height to most Master Grade kits. However, it lacks the inner frame and gimmicks typical of the MG line.
Does it require glue or paint?
No glue is needed; it's a snap-fit kit. Color separation is decent but not perfect. Some stickers are provided for details, but painting can improve the look.
How long does the build take?
Most builders finish in 4-6 hours. The simple internal structure and fewer parts compared to an MG make it a quicker project. Plan for a weekend afternoon build.
What makes the Gyunei Guss variant different?
The Gyunei Guss version has a unique color scheme (dark blue and red) and a different head crest compared to the standard Jagd Doga. It matches his appearance in Char's Counterattack.
