Quick answer
Choose RER32490 if you drive a VALKYRIE MT or TR and need a direct-fit center brace mount. Choose RER19383 if you own a MACHETE and need to adjust differential shims. They serve different vehicles and purposes, so your model determines the right pick.
Why the vehicle matters more than the part type
These two Redcat spare parts look similar at first glance—both are small, affordable replacements—but they are not interchangeable. RER32490 is a center brace middle mount designed for VALKYRIE MT and VALKYRIE TR trucks. RER19383 is a 12-piece differential shim set listed for the MACHETE. If you are unsure which vehicle you have, check the model name on the chassis or manual before ordering.
The trade-off is simple: the center brace mount is a structural piece that holds the chassis brace in place, while the shim set is a tuning item used to adjust gear mesh and reduce play in the differential. Buying the wrong one means a part that won't fit or won't do the job you need.
How to choose between RER32490 and RER19383
- Vehicle compatibility: Check your model: RER32490 fits VALKYRIE MT and TR; RER19383 fits MACHETE. If your vehicle isn't listed, neither part is confirmed to work. Always verify the model name on your chassis before ordering.
- Part function: RER32490 is a structural center brace mount; RER19383 is a tuning shim set. Decide whether you're fixing a broken part or adjusting differential play. Match the part type to the job you need done.
- Quantity and value: RER32490 comes as one piece; RER19383 includes 12 shims. If you need multiple shims or want spares, the shim set offers more pieces per dollar. Consider how many parts you actually need before buying.
