Quick answer
If you're a longtime Rocket League fan or a soundtrack vinyl collector, the 10 Year Anniversary 2xLP is a solid pick for its nostalgic tracklist and unique color variant, but it's not a limited-run rarity.
What makes this pressing special
The Rocket League x Monstercat: 10 Year Anniversary 2xLP celebrates a decade of the game's iconic soundtrack. It features fan-favorite tracks from the Monstercat collaboration that defined the game's high-energy vibe. The retail version comes on a solid black and custard vinyl, a color scheme that nods to the game's aesthetic.
Value and pricing
Priced at USD 25.79 (catalog comparison price USD 42.99), this 2xLP offers good value for a double vinyl soundtrack. The discount from the comparison price suggests it's a standard retail release, not a limited or numbered edition, which affects long-term collectibility.
Trade-offs to consider
While the vinyl color is appealing, it's not a limited-edition variant. If you're seeking a rare pressing with high resale potential, this may not fit. Also, the tracklist is a compilation of existing Monstercat tracks, not new recordings, so hardcore collectors might prefer original soundtrack releases.
Decision rules for this vinyl
- Check the tracklist: Review the tracklist to ensure it includes your favorite Monstercat tracks. This is a compilation, not a complete soundtrack.
- Consider the pressing: The solid black and custard vinyl is a retail variant. It's not limited edition, so don't expect it to appreciate in value. If you want a rare pressing, look for limited-run releases.
- Evaluate your collection: If you already own other Rocket League vinyl, this complements but doesn't duplicate them. It's a standalone anniversary piece. Perfect for fans who want a dedicated anniversary item.
