Quick answer
MiiR's Round Up Donation lets you round your purchase total to the nearest dollar at checkout, with the difference going to Viva's farmer training programs.
How the donation reaches Viva
MiiR partners with Viva, an organization that empowers aspiring and limited-resource farmers through bilingual training in holistic and organic farming practices. Viva also provides access to land, equipment, training, marketing, and capital. When you round up, MiiR sends the pooled funds directly to Viva to support these programs.
Frequently asked questions about Round Up Donation
What is Round Up Donation?
At checkout, you can choose to round your order total up to the nearest whole dollar. The difference (up to $0.99) is added to your purchase and donated to MiiR's partner organization, Viva.
Can I choose the amount I donate?
No. The donation amount is automatically calculated as the difference between your total and the next whole dollar. For example, a $24.50 total rounds up to $25.00, donating $0.50. If you want to donate a specific amount, you can add the Round Up Donation product to your cart separately for $0.01.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
MiiR collects and forwards the pooled donations to Viva. Because MiiR is the donor of record, individual round-up contributions are not tax-deductible for you. Check with your tax advisor for your specific situation.
Can I round up on every order?
Yes, the Round Up Donation option appears at checkout on every order. You can choose to participate or skip it each time.
Where can I learn more about Viva?
Visit MiiR's website to read about Viva's programs and impact. You can also explore Viva's own site for detailed information on their farmer training initiatives.
