Quick answer
Choose Harringtons Dry Puppy Food Rich in Salmon & Rice for a complete, balanced puppy diet with smaller kibble, or opt for Just 6 Salmon & Vegetables Dry Dog Food if your adult dog needs a limited-ingredient, grain-free salmon meal.
Key differences at a glance
The two salmon-based dry foods serve different life stages and dietary needs. Harringtons Dry Puppy Food Rich in Salmon & Rice is formulated specifically for growing pups with smaller kibble and a complete nutrient profile. In contrast, Just 6 Salmon & Vegetables Dry Dog Food is a grain-free, limited-ingredient recipe designed for adult dogs, featuring over 50% salmon and sweet potato as the carbohydrate source.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Life stage suitability: Dry Puppy Food Rich in Salmon & Rice is formulated for puppies. Just 6 Salmon & Vegetables is for adult dogs. Always choose a food labeled for your dog's life stage.
- Ingredient count and grain content: Just 6 uses only six ingredients and is grain-free. The Puppy Food includes grains (rice) and a broader ingredient list for complete nutrition. A limited-ingredient diet may help dogs with allergies but may not provide all nutrients needed for growth.
- Kibble size: The Puppy Food has smaller kibbles for smaller mouths. Just 6 has standard-sized kibbles for adult dogs. Kibble size affects how easily your dog eats and enjoys the food.
