Quick Answer
Choose the Sea Soother for a portable, cord-free option that travels easily, or pick the Dohm Nova for a versatile home unit with adjustable fan-based sound and a night light.
Portability vs. Features
When you're comparing sound machines for your family, the first big decision is whether you need something that slips into a diaper bag or a unit that lives on the nightstand. The Sea Soother is designed for on-the-go use with its playful, cord-free design, while the Dohm Nova offers more controls and a built-in night light, making it a stronger home base for your sleep routine.
Sound Quality and Adjustability
The Dohm Nova gives you ten speed options, so you can fine-tune the fan-based sound to match your baby's preferences or the noise level in the room. The Sea Soother provides gentle sound in a simpler, no-fuss package—ideal if you want a consistent sound without dials or settings to fiddle with in the middle of the night.
Maintenance and Materials
If you're particular about keeping things clean, the Dohm Nova has a washable fabric cover, which is a practical advantage for homes where spills and drool are inevitable. The Sea Soother's cord-free design means fewer cords to manage, but it doesn't offer the same easy-to-clean fabric cover.
