Quick Answer
If you want a budget-friendly, portable collection with surprise reveals, go with the Super Duper Plush Blind Box flat. If you crave a statement piece that dominates a shelf, the SuperSize Vinyl Big Bird is your pick.
Budget and Value: Blind Box vs SuperSize
The Super Duper Plush Blind Box flat costs $71.04 (compare at $96.00) and gives you 12 keychain plush—roughly $5.92 each. That's a low-cost way to build a Sesame Street collection in one go.
The SuperSize Vinyl Big Bird is a bigger investment at $218.30 (compare at $295.00). You're paying for a large, premium display piece, not a multi-item assortment.
Display Impact and Space
The SuperSize Vinyl Big Bird stands 19.5 inches tall—a true centerpiece that demands shelf space. It comes in full-color premium packaging, so it looks great boxed or out.
The plush keychains are small and clip onto bags or backpacks. They're perfect for rotating displays or taking your collection on the go, but they won't anchor a shelf the way Big Bird will.
The Surprise Factor vs the Known Quantity
Blind boxes are all about the reveal. The wave includes six possible characters—Cookie Monster, Elmo, Grover, and Big Bird—with varying odds. You might get a common or a rarer 1/12 variant.
The SuperSize Vinyl is a known quantity: you get Big Bird, poseable and ready. No duplicates, no surprises—just the character you wanted.
Trade-Offs to Consider
- Budget: The plush blind box flat costs about one-third the price of the SuperSize vinyl and yields 12 pieces. The vinyl is a single, larger purchase. If budget is tight, the blind box flat gives more items for less.
- Display Space: The 19.5" Big Bird needs a prominent shelf or cabinet. The keychains fit in a drawer or hang on a bag. Measure your shelf before committing to the SuperSize vinyl.
- Surprise vs Certainty: Blind boxes offer the thrill of random pulls, but you may get duplicates. The vinyl is a guaranteed Big Bird with no duplicates. If duplicates bother you, the vinyl is the safer choice.
