Quick answer
The Set a Watch Upgrade Pack fills the gap between the retail version and the deluxe edition. If you already own the retail game and want the Kickstarter extras, this pack is the most affordable way to get them.
Why the upgrade pack exists
The retail version of Set a Watch included the core game but left out some content from the original Kickstarter campaign. The Upgrade Pack was created specifically for those who bought the retail version and want to complete their collection without buying a whole new box.
This means you get the deluxe experience — everything backers received — without paying for a second copy of the base game.
Who should skip the upgrade pack
If you already own the deluxe edition (the version that includes all Kickstarter content), the Upgrade Pack contains nothing new for you. Similarly, if you haven't played the retail game yet, consider trying the base game first before committing to extras.
Decision rules for the Set a Watch Upgrade Pack
- Do you own the retail version?: The Upgrade Pack is designed only for retail owners. If you have the deluxe edition, you already have everything inside. Check your box — if it says "Deluxe" or "Kickstarter Edition," you don't need this pack.
- Do you want the Kickstarter extras?: The deluxe edition includes everything from the original Kickstarter campaign. The Upgrade Pack gives retail owners access to that same content. If you're a completionist or want the full intended experience, this pack is the solution.
- Is the price worth it?: At USD 7.40 (compared to a USD 10.00 catalog price), the pack costs less than many single card game accessories. It's a budget-friendly way to upgrade. For the price of a couple of sleeves or a small mat, you get a complete content upgrade.
