Quick answer
For a high-impact display piece with intricate sculpting and a rare convention pedigree, the NYCC-exclusive Super Saiyan God Vegito is the standout. If you prefer a more affordable, color-rich figure from a major event, the SDCC-exclusive Jiren Final Battle offers great value.
Convention exclusives and collector appeal
Both the NYCC and SDCC 2024 exclusives from Tamashii Nations capture key Dragon Ball moments, but they target different collector priorities. The NYCC Super Saiyan God Vegito emphasizes power and majesty with a highly detailed sculpt, while the SDCC Jiren Final Battle delivers multicolor detailing that makes him stand out on any shelf.
Price is a major differentiator: the Vegito figure is listed at USD 98.54 (compared to USD 134.99), and the Jiren figure at USD 74.39 (compared to USD 119.99). That means Jiren offers a lower entry cost while still being a convention-exclusive piece.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Super Saiyan God Vegito (NYCC 2024): Higher price (USD 98.54) but offers intricate sculpting and paintwork that captures Vegito’s power and majesty. Best for collectors who want a showpiece with premium detail.
- Jiren Final Battle (SDCC 2024): Lower price (USD 74.39) with multicolor detailing that makes the figure visually striking. Best for collectors who want a convention-exclusive without the higher cost.
- Super Saiyan Son Goku (NYCC 2024): At USD 45.74, this is the most affordable option among the three, featuring Son Goku in his iconic Super Saiyan form with vibrant colors and intricate sculpting.
