Quick answer
The SKULLPANDA Door of Advancement and Retreat series is a must-have for fans of Xiong Miao's iconic IP, offering door-themed designs with philosophical depth. This guide helps you decide if it fits your collection and how to approach the blind box format.
Design concept: doors of choice
Each figure in this series reimagines SKULLPANDA with door-themed accents, such as advance-and-retreat palettes and threshold styling. The visual concept explores the idea of progress and retreat, giving each piece a narrative feel. If you appreciate symbolic art in your collectibles, this series stands out from more straightforward character releases.
Blind box format: what to expect
Like most SKULLPANDA releases, this series comes in sealed blind boxes. You won't know which figure you get until you open it. This adds surprise but means you might need multiple purchases to complete a set or get your favorite design. Prices are standard for the category, making it accessible for both new and seasoned collectors.
Decision rules for buying the SKULLPANDA Door of Advancement and Retreat series
- You want a design-driven series: If you value conceptual art over pure character design, this series delivers with door motifs and symbolic palettes.
- You are comfortable with blind boxes: Be prepared for random pulls. If you dislike duplicates or need a specific figure, consider trading or buying from verified resellers. Check the blind box seal before purchase to ensure it's factory-sealed.
- You are a SKULLPANDA completionist: If you already collect SKULLPANDA figures, this series is a natural addition to round out your set.
