Quick answer
The Sonic Icon Grid Mug is a 11 oz ceramic mug featuring iconic game elements. For best results, hand wash it with mild soap and avoid using it in the microwave to preserve the print.
Design details that matter for daily use
The Sonic Icon Grid Mug is decorated with familiar motifs from the games, including Rings, powerups, and Chaos Emeralds. The white body with black rim, handle, and interior gives it a clean, classic look. At 11 oz (325 mL), it's a standard size for coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The ceramic material retains heat well but also means the mug can get hot to the touch.
How to care for your Sonic Icon Grid Mug
- Wash gently by hand: Use a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that can scratch the printed design. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Hand washing is the safest method to keep the graphic vibrant.
- Skip the dishwasher: The high heat and harsh detergents in dishwashers can fade or peel the print over time. If you must use a dishwasher, place the mug on the top rack and select a gentle cycle, but hand washing is strongly recommended. Dishwasher use may shorten the life of the design.
- Avoid microwave use: The black rim and handle may contain metallic pigments that can spark in a microwave. To be safe, warm your beverage separately and pour it into the mug. Do not microwave this mug.
- Prevent thermal shock: Do not pour boiling liquid into a cold mug or place a hot mug on a cold surface. Let the mug come to room temperature before use to avoid cracking. Extreme temperature changes can damage ceramic.
- Store with care: Stack the mug with a soft cloth between it and other mugs to prevent scratches. Avoid storing it in direct sunlight to prevent fading of the printed artwork. Proper storage preserves the mug's appearance.
