Quick answer
Choose the Sonny Angel HIPPERS Hello Kitty And Friends Series if you love Sanrio collaborations and want a themed, limited-edition set. Go with the Animals Series if you prefer the classic HIPPERS design and a slightly lower price point.
Theme and design differences
The Hello Kitty And Friends Series is a special collaboration between SONNY ANGEL and Sanrio, featuring beloved characters like Hello Kitty and her friends. This gives each figure a distinct, recognizable theme that stands out from the standard HIPPERS line.
The Animals Series stays true to the original HIPPERS concept, offering a variety of animal-themed mini figures. Each blind box contains a surprise animal, making it a classic choice for collectors who enjoy the core HIPPERS aesthetic.
Price and availability
The Hello Kitty series is priced at USD 19.03 (compared to USD 27.99), while the Animals series costs USD 21.89 (compared to USD 29.99). Both represent a discount from their comparison prices, but the Hello Kitty series is slightly more affordable upfront.
The Hello Kitty series was released on January 23, 2026, and may be more limited in availability compared to the ongoing Animals series. If you miss the initial drop, finding sealed boxes later could be harder.
Trade-offs at a glance
