Quick Answer

Choose the Snack Series if you love playful, nostalgic diner themes and a higher chance of a secret figure; pick Dreaming Hippers if you prefer soft pastel animal hats and a more whimsical, calming aesthetic.

Theme and Aesthetic Differences

The Snack Series celebrates classic American diner foods, with designs like hamburgers, milkshakes, and donuts. It’s bold, colorful, and full of playful nostalgia, perfect for fans of retro diner culture.

Dreaming Hippers, on the other hand, features Sonny Angel in soft, pastel-colored animal hats. The collection has a dreamy, tranquil vibe that appeals to collectors who prefer gentle, whimsical designs.

Surprise and Rarity Considerations

Blind boxes are all about the thrill of the unknown. The Snack Series offers 12 regular designs plus 2 rare secret figures, giving you a 1-in-7 chance of pulling a secret if each design is equally likely. This adds an extra layer of excitement for hunters seeking rare pieces.

Dreaming Hippers does not specify a secret figure, so the surprise is purely about which pastel animal hat you get. If you’re less concerned about rarity and more about the aesthetic, this series still delivers a delightful unboxing experience.

Price and Value

At $17.01 (compared to $22.99), the Snack Series is the more budget-friendly option. You get a themed figure with a chance at a rare secret, making it a strong value for collectors on a budget.

Dreaming Hippers is priced at $20.15 (compared to $27.99), a bit higher but still reasonable. The higher price reflects the exclusive, dreamy design that may appeal to dedicated fans.

Trade-Offs at a Glance

  • Snack Series: Thematic Variety: If you want a wide range of recognizable food designs and the thrill of hunting for a secret figure, go with the Snack Series. Be prepared for a more playful, diner-inspired look that might not match a minimalist collection.
  • Dreaming Hippers: Aesthetic Cohesion: If you prefer a cohesive, dreamy pastel set that feels tranquil and whimsical, Dreaming Hippers is your pick. You’ll miss out on the secret-figure chase, but the visual consistency may be more satisfying.
  • Budget Consideration: The Snack Series is cheaper, so you can buy more boxes for the same budget, increasing your odds of a rare pull. If you’re strictly budget-conscious, the Snack Series offers more unboxing moments per dollar.
