Quick Answer
The Sorcerer Forsaken Church Domain Pack adds a new domain skill card and 10 grimoire cards, giving you a high-risk, high-reward strategy that deals collateral damage—but your opponent controls how it's assigned.
What the Forsaken Church Domain Pack Includes
This expansion is a complete Domain Deck for use with the Sorcerer base game. It contains the Forsaken Church domain skill card and 10 cards for your grimoire, so it's a self-contained addition that slots directly into your existing setup.
Because it's an exclusive expansion, you'll need the Sorcerer base game to use it. If you're new to Sorcerer, you'll want to start with the core set before adding this pack.
The Collateral Damage Strategy
The Forsaken Church domain lets you 'rain bullets down on your enemies,' dealing lots of collateral damage. However, your opponent chooses how to assign that damage, which means you can't control who takes the hit.
This creates a unique tactical layer: you can force damage onto the board, but you'll need to plan around your opponent's choices. It's a strategy that rewards careful positioning and can disrupt your opponent's plans, but it can also backfire if they assign damage to your own forces.
Trade-Offs to Consider
The main trade-off is control versus power. You get the potential for heavy damage, but you sacrifice precision. If you prefer a more controlled, surgical approach, this domain might not fit your playstyle.
Also, since this is an expansion, you're adding complexity to your game. If you're just learning Sorcerer, you might want to master the base game first before introducing this domain's unique mechanics.
Is the Forsaken Church Domain Pack Right for You?
- You enjoy chaotic, high-damage strategies: If you like forcing your opponent into tough decisions and don't mind collateral damage, this pack offers a powerful, aggressive playstyle.
- You already own the Sorcerer base game: This expansion is exclusive to Sorcerer, so you must have the base game. If you do, this pack adds fresh content without needing anything else.
- You prefer precise, controlled gameplay: Since your opponent assigns the collateral damage, this pack may frustrate you if you want to target specific units. Consider a different domain pack. Think about your preferred playstyle before buying.
