Quick answer
The Spirited Away Limited Edition Steelbook includes the Blu-ray and DVD discs in a premium steelbook case. It's a great choice for collectors who want durable packaging and both disc formats.
What makes the steelbook edition different
The steelbook case is the main draw. It's a metal case that feels sturdier than standard plastic Blu-ray cases. The artwork on the steelbook is exclusive to this edition, making it a visual piece for your shelf.
Inside, you get both a Blu-ray disc and a DVD disc. This combo means you can watch the film in high definition on a Blu-ray player or in standard definition on a DVD player, which is useful if you have multiple devices.
Trade-offs to consider
The steelbook does not include a digital copy or a 4K UHD disc. If you prefer streaming or want the highest resolution available, this set may not meet those needs.
The catalog price is USD 17.81 (compared to USD 26.99), so you're getting a discount. However, the steelbook is a limited edition, so availability may be limited.
Decision rules for the Spirited Away Steelbook
- Contents check: The steelbook includes one Blu-ray disc and one DVD disc. No digital copy or 4K UHD disc is included. If you want a digital copy or 4K, look elsewhere.
- Packaging value: The steelbook case is metal and features exclusive artwork. It's more durable and collectible than a standard Blu-ray case. If you value shelf appeal and durability, the steelbook is worth it.
- Price consideration: The catalog price is USD 17.81, which is a discount from the comparison price of USD 26.99. This is a good deal for a limited edition set. If you find it in stock, the price is competitive.
