Quick answer
The standard Star Wars Unlimited Game Mat is a compact, portable choice for tight tables, while the XTRA-WIDE Game Mat adds 19 cm of extra space and printed play zones for a more organized play area.
Why size matters for your playmat
A playmat’s dimensions affect how much room you have for cards, tokens, and dice. A larger mat can reduce clutter and keep your play area organized, but it also needs more table space. The choice depends on your typical gaming environment and how many accessories you use.
Key differences at a glance
Both mats are 2 mm thick, have an ultrafine surface and an anti-slip back, and feature full-color printed Star Wars designs. The standard mat is a compact size that fits most tables easily. The XTRA-WIDE mat adds 19 cm of extra width and includes printed card and play zones to help you track game areas.
Trade-offs to consider
- Standard Game Mat (604141): Compact size fits smaller tables and is easier to transport. No printed play zones.
- XTRA-WIDE Game Mat (604140): 19 cm wider with printed card and play zones for better organization. Requires more table space. Measure your table before choosing the XTRA-WIDE to ensure it fits comfortably.
- Price difference: The standard mat is USD 19.42 (compared to USD 28.99), while the XTRA-WIDE is USD 20.78 (compared to USD 32.99). The XTRA-WIDE costs only about USD 1.36 more at the current price, making it a small upgrade for significantly more space.
