Quick Answer

The Starter Bundle: Dungeon + Cavern (Unpainted) combines two core Dwarvenite sets—Starter Dungeon and Basic Caverns—plus a $5 gift card, giving you a versatile foundation for both dungeon and cave encounters.

Why combine dungeon and cavern?

Having both dungeon and cavern pieces in one bundle means you can build two distinct environments without buying separate sets. Dungeon tiles suit classic indoor adventures, while cavern pieces add natural rock formations for underground or wilderness scenes.

Because both sets are unpainted, you get the full Dwarvenite texture and can paint them to match your existing collection. This is ideal if you enjoy customizing your terrain or want a consistent look across all your tables.

What about the unpainted finish?

Unpainted Dwarvenite is ready to use straight out of the box, but it also takes paint well. If you're new to painting terrain, start with a simple drybrush or wash to bring out the details. For a more advanced finish, you can follow the same techniques used on other Dwarvenite sets.

Keep in mind that unpainted pieces show fingerprints and scuffs more easily than painted ones. A clear matte sealer after painting can protect your work and keep the pieces looking fresh.

Starter Bundle FAQ

What exactly is included?

The bundle contains the Starter Dungeon set and the Basic Caverns set, both unpainted. Your confirmation email will list the individual component sets, not the bundle name, so don't be surprised.

Is there a bonus?

Yes, you get a $5 Dwarven Forge gift card included with the bundle. You can use it on a future order. Check your email for the gift card code after purchase.

Can I paint these pieces?

Yes, they are unpainted Dwarvenite, designed to accept paint. Use acrylic hobby paints and seal with a matte varnish for durability. Test your paint on a small piece first to confirm the look you want.

Is this bundle good for beginners?

Absolutely. It provides a solid mix of dungeon and cavern pieces to start a collection, and the unpainted format lets you learn painting at your own pace.
