Quick answer
If you enjoy high-stakes semi-cooperative games with a horror-comedy theme, the This Game is Killer: Franchise of Fear PREORDER is worth securing now for its August ship date and $6 savings.
What makes this preorder different
Unlike a standard retail purchase, preordering this title locks in the lower $13.99 price (compared to the $19.99 catalog price) and guarantees you'll get a copy when it ships in late August. For a limited-run party game from a smaller publisher, that can matter if stock runs low.
The semi-cooperative twist means not everyone wins—you might accidentally kill a teammate while trying to stop Snapjaw. That makes it a unique fit for groups who enjoy betrayal and tension, not just pure cooperation.
How to decide if this preorder is for you
- Check the ship date: The game ships in late August. If you need a game for an earlier event or immediate play, wait for retail release or choose an in-stock alternative.
- Consider the price advantage: Preordering saves $6 off the catalog price. If you're on a budget and this game is on your radar, the discount is a clear reason to act now. The $6 savings is the main financial incentive.
- Evaluate your group's tolerance for semi-coop: This game allows multiple winners, but killing Snapjaw can also eliminate teammates. Groups that dislike accidental elimination should consider a fully cooperative title instead.
