Quick answer
Both the Godzilla 1989 and Godzilla Minus One figures in Toho Super Kaiju Wave 01 are excellent 5.5" articulated collectibles, but your choice comes down to which movie era and accessory you prefer: the classic 1989 design with a destroyed building, or the modern 2023 terror with a train accessory.
Scale and articulation are identical
Both figures share the same 5.5" scale and similar articulation, including a hinged jaw and bendable wire tail. The key differences are in sculpt, paint, and included accessories.
Accessories tell a different story
Godzilla 1989 comes with a to-scale destroyed building, perfect for diorama builders. Godzilla Minus One includes a train accessory that fits into its hinged jaw, emphasizing the 2023 film's iconic train-chomping scene.

If you prefer a more unusual look, the Toho Super Kaiju - Godzilla 1989 (Comic Book) variant features blood-red mouth paint inspired by Dark Horse Comics' 1995 series. It's a separate option with the same articulation but a distinct aesthetic.
