Quick Answer
Choose the Sushi Unicorno if you love themed accessories and a classic Tokidoki look; choose the Donut Unicorno if you prefer squishy textures and a playful breakfast vibe.
Theme and Design Differences
The Sushi Unicorno series celebrates a traditional Japanese food with seven sushi-themed designs, each coming with a serving plate and a sushi friend accessory. The Donut Unicorno series, on the other hand, focuses on a sweet breakfast treat, featuring squishy Unicornos with a smaller Unicorno figure inside.
If you value display pieces with extra accessories, the Sushi series offers more to show off. If you enjoy tactile, squishy toys, the Donut series adds a fun sensory element.
Price and Value
Both blind boxes are similarly priced, with the Sushi Unicorno at $8.54 and the Donut Unicorno at $9.94, compared to a catalog price of $14.00. The small price difference reflects the different contents and packaging.
The Sushi Unicorno includes a serving plate and a sushi friend accessory, which adds perceived value for collectors who like complete sets. The Donut Unicorno's squishy outer layer might appeal more to those who enjoy interactive toys.
Trade-Offs to Consider
- Accessories vs. Squish Factor: Sushi Unicorno comes with a serving plate and sushi friend, while Donut Unicorno offers a squishy outer layer with a hidden inner figure. Decide if you prefer extra accessories or a unique tactile experience.
- Theme: Traditional vs. Playful: Sushi celebrates a classic food with cultural roots; Donut is a fun, modern breakfast treat. Pick the theme that matches your personal style or collection vibe.
- Price Point: Sushi is slightly cheaper at $8.54 vs. Donut at $9.94, but both offer good value compared to the $14.00 catalog price. If budget is tight, the Sushi box saves a little, but the difference is minor.
