Quick answer
The Triax Skiver Night Lands deco is a strong choice if you want a stealth-themed Saurozoic Warriors figure with a unique backstory, but it may not be your first pick if you prefer brighter, more classic dinosaur warrior colors.
What makes the Night Lands deco different
The Night Lands deco gives Triax Skiver a darker, shadowy color scheme that matches the eternal darkness of the region he travels through. This is a deliberate design choice tied to his story—he escaped the Ceratopsian Guard with secrets and now takes a dangerous shortcut through a perpetually dark area of Sauria.
If you already own a standard Triax Skiver, the Night Lands version offers a distinct visual alternative. The deco change is the main difference; the sculpt and articulation remain the same. For collectors focused on variety, this can be a reason to add both.
Trade-offs to consider
The darker paint scheme may not stand out as much on a shelf compared to brighter Saurozoic Warriors figures. If your display relies on high contrast or vibrant colors, this figure might blend in more than you want.
The price is a factor: at USD 22.19 (compared to USD 29.99 catalog price), it's a discount. However, if you're not interested in the Night Lands theme or already have a similar dark figure, the savings might not justify the purchase.
Decision rules for the Night Lands Triax Skiver
- Story connection matters: If you enjoy figures with a narrative background, the Night Lands deco directly ties to Triax's escape and his dangerous route through a dark region. It adds depth to your display.
- Color scheme preference: Choose this version if you want a darker, more subdued look. Skip it if you prefer the classic bright dinosaur warrior colors that pop on a shelf. Consider how the figure will look next to your other Saurozoic Warriors.
- Budget and value: At USD 22.19 (catalog comparison price USD 29.99), this is a discounted option. If you're looking to expand your collection without paying full price, this is a good entry point. Check if the discount aligns with your spending plan for collectibles.
