Quick answer
The Twisted Cryptids Big Twisted Box is a storage solution designed to hold the base game, all expansions (sleeved), the Wilderness board, play mats, standees, and more—plus it includes an oversized Central Play Mat.
Why the Big Box matters for your cryptid game collection
If you own the Twisted Cryptids base game and a few expansions, you know how quickly the components multiply. The Big Twisted Box solves the sprawl by giving every piece a dedicated spot, so setup and teardown stay fast. It's not just a bigger box—it's designed to keep sleeved cards, boards, and standees organized without squeezing or bending.
The trade-off is size. The box is larger than the standard game box, so it takes up more shelf space. If you only own the base game and don't plan to expand, the original box may be enough. But for collectors who want everything in one place, the Big Box is a practical upgrade.
Frequently asked questions about the Twisted Cryptids Big Box
What exactly comes inside the Big Twisted Box?
The box itself is the storage solution. Inside, you'll find an oversized Central Play Mat large enough to fit all players and components, plus dedicated compartments for the base game, all expansions (even sleeved cards), the Wilderness board, play mats, and standees.
Can I fit sleeved cards in the Big Box?
Yes. The Big Box is built to hold sleeved cards from the base game and all expansions without forcing the lid closed. The compartments are sized to accommodate standard card sleeves. If you sleeve your cards, the Big Box is the only storage option that keeps everything together without crushing the sleeves.
Is the Central Play Mat included?
Yes. The Big Twisted Box includes an oversized Central Play Mat that is large enough to fit all players and the game board. It replaces the need for separate play mats or a table cover.
Does the Big Box work with all Twisted Cryptids expansions?
Yes. The box is designed to hold the base game and all expansions currently released, including the Wilderness board and any standees. As your collection grows, everything stays organized in one place. Before buying, check that your expansions are from the Twisted Cryptids line to ensure compatibility with the storage compartments.
How does the Big Box compare to the standard game box?
The standard box holds only the base game components. The Big Box is larger and includes dedicated storage for expansions, play mats, and standees. If you own multiple expansions, the Big Box saves space by consolidating everything into one container. For casual players with just the base game, the standard box is sufficient. For collectors or frequent players, the Big Box is more practical.
