Quick answer
Choose the Vintage Birds Notebook for a classic, timeless look and a durable laminated cover that handles daily carry. Pick the Easily Distracted By Birds Spiral Notebook if you want a playful, wild pattern and the same practical dotted pages for field notes and sketches.
Cover design and personal style
Both notebooks share the same thick dotted pages and spiral binding that lies flat, so the main difference is the cover art. The Vintage Birds Notebook features classic bird illustrations that appeal to birders who appreciate a timeless, understated look. The Easily Distracted By Birds Notebook sports a more playful bird-patterned cover that makes a statement about your birding obsession.
Durability for field use
Both notebooks have a laminated cover that protects against wear in a pack or bag. The Vintage Birds Notebook's cover is described as durable and holds up in your pack, while the Easily Distracted By Birds Notebook is also laminated for protection. For heavy outdoor use, either will work, but the Vintage Birds Notebook's specific mention of durability may give it a slight edge for rugged field conditions.
Trade-offs to consider
- Cover style: Vintage Birds offers classic illustrations; Easily Distracted shows a playful bird pattern.
- Durability: Both have laminated covers, but Vintage Birds is specifically described as durable for pack use. If you expect rough handling, Vintage Birds may hold up better.
- Dotted pages and binding: Both have thick dotted pages for notes, sketches, and bullet journaling, and spiral binding that lies flat. For field notes and life lists, either notebook works equally well.
