Quick answer
The Virgo Versus The Zodiac Collector's Edition for Nintendo Switch packs the full physical game, a collector's box, and extras that appeal to JRPG fans who value tangible media. It's currently available at a discount, making it a solid pickup if you enjoy quirky turn-based combat with real-time timing mechanics.
What makes this edition special
Virgo Versus The Zodiac is a sci-fi/fantasy JRPG inspired by the Mario & Luigi RPG and Mother series. Instead of playing a hero, you control an obsessed villain named Virgo. The combat system blends traditional turn-based moves with real-time execution—blocking, countering, and timing attacks matter as much as your strategy.
The Collector's Edition gives you a physical copy of the game on a Nintendo Switch cartridge, plus a collector's box and other extras. For collectors who prefer owning a tangible version over a digital download, this is the only way to get a physical release.
Price and value considerations
The catalog price shows a comparison price of USD 84.99, but the current price is USD 51.84. That's a significant saving, making this edition more accessible than many other collector's editions that launch at full price.
Keep in mind that the value depends on how much you care about physical extras. If you only want to play the game, the standard digital version is cheaper. But if you like having a box on your shelf and supporting physical media, the discount makes this edition a reasonable buy.
Decision rules for buying the Collector's Edition
- You want a physical cartridge: If you prefer owning games on a cartridge rather than a digital download, this Collector's Edition is one of the few ways to get Virgo Versus The Zodiac physically on Switch. Check that your Switch can read cartridges (all models except Switch Lite without an adapter).
- You enjoy quirky JRPGs with real-time combat: The Mario & Luigi and Mother inspirations mean the game has humor, a unique villain protagonist, and combat that rewards timing over grinding. If that sounds fun, the physical edition is a good way to own it.
- You're on a tight budget: At USD 51.84 (down from a comparison price of USD 84.99), it's cheaper than many collector's editions. But if you only care about playing the game, the standard digital version costs less. Compare current digital pricing before buying.

Virgo Versus The Zodiac Collector's Edition [Nintendo Switch]: The game is a sci-fi/fantasy JRPG inspired by the Mario & Luigi RPG and Mother RPG series where you play as an obsessed villain. This means the combat is turn-based but requires real-time timing for blocks and counters, so it's not a pure menu-driven RPG.
