Quick answer

A Button Shy pre-order lets you reserve a wallet game before its official release, with payment taken at checkout and shipping typically scheduled months in advance.

Why pre-order instead of waiting?

Pre-ordering guarantees you a copy of a limited-run game, especially for popular titles that may sell out quickly after release. It also locks in a lower price compared to the post-release retail price—for example, the boxed editions of Tussie Mussie, Revolver Noir, and The Daily Weather are all offered at a discount during the pre-order period.

What about shipping delays?

Button Shy provides an estimated shipping month (e.g., January 2027), but production and logistics can shift. Pre-order shipping dates are targets, not guarantees. If you need a game by a specific date, a pre-order may not be the safest option.

Frequently asked questions about Button Shy pre-orders

When will my pre-order ship?

Button Shy lists an estimated shipping month for each pre-order (e.g., January 2027). This is the target, not a guaranteed date. You'll receive a tracking email when it ships.

Is my card charged now or later?

Payment is taken at the time of pre-order checkout, not when the item ships. Make sure you're comfortable with that timing before ordering.

Can I cancel or change my pre-order?

Button Shy allows cancellations before the item enters production. Check your order confirmation for details or contact customer support. Once production starts, changes are typically not possible. If you're unsure, order closer to the shipping date or confirm the cancellation policy first.

Are pre-orders refundable?

Refunds are generally available for cancellations made before production begins. After that point, the order is usually final. Always review the store's pre-order policy at checkout.

What if the shipping date changes?

Button Shy will update the product page and may send email notifications if the estimated shipping month shifts. Delays are possible but not guaranteed. Bookmark the product page and check your email for updates.
