Quick Answer
The Advanced Fantasy Referee's Tome is a complete referee's guide for Old-School Essentials Advanced Fantasy, packed with over 300 monsters, over 300 magic items, and full guidelines for designing and running adventures.
Why This Tome Matters for Your Table
If you're running an Old-School Essentials Advanced Fantasy campaign, the Referee's Tome is the one book you'll want behind the screen. It consolidates the rules, monsters, and treasures you need to run sessions without flipping between multiple sources.
The guidelines for designing adventures are especially useful if you're new to refereeing or want to build more structured encounters. It's not just a monster manual—it's a complete toolkit for the referee.
What's Not Included
The Tome focuses on referee-facing content. It does not include player character rules or spells—those are covered in the Advanced Fantasy Player's Tome. If you're looking for terrain rules, this product doesn't include them; it's a rules reference, not a terrain guide.
Keep that in mind if you're pairing it with your Dwarven Forge terrain. The Tome helps you run the game; your terrain brings the adventure to life.
