Quick Answer

Most Cirkul bottle leaks come from one of three places: the lid isn't fully closed, the flavor cartridge is loose or misaligned, or the silicone gasket has shifted or worn out. Start by checking the lid seal, then reseat the cartridge, and finally inspect the gasket. These steps fix 9 out of 10 leaks without needing a replacement part.

Check the Lid Seal First

The most common leak point is the lid. If you don't hear a click when closing the StrawSip lid, it's not fully seated. Press down firmly on the center of the lid until it snaps into place. Also make sure the lid is aligned with the bottle threads—cross-threading can create a gap that lets water escape.

Inspect the Flavor Cartridge and Gasket

A loose or misaligned flavor cartridge can cause drips around the mouthpiece. Remove the cartridge and reinsert it until it clicks. While the cartridge is out, check the small silicone gasket inside the lid. If it's pinched, dirty, or missing, water can bypass the seal. Rinse the gasket with warm water and reseat it. If the gasket is cracked or deformed, you'll need a replacement.

When to Replace Parts

If the lid, gasket, and cartridge are all properly seated but the bottle still leaks, the issue may be a worn gasket or a cracked lid. The Cirkul Flow Filter (12-Pack) includes a carbon-based filter element that locks into the Comfort Grip Lid, but it won't fix a damaged gasket. For persistent leaks, consider replacing the lid assembly or the bottle itself.

Leak Diagnosis Guide

  • Water dripping from the lid threads: Lid is not fully closed or cross-threaded. Open the lid, align it properly, and press down until you hear a click.
  • Water leaking around the mouthpiece: Flavor cartridge is loose or the silicone gasket is misaligned. Remove and reseat the cartridge. Inspect and reposition the gasket. If the gasket is damaged, replace it.
  • Water leaking from the bottom of the bottle: Bottle body is cracked or the base seal has failed. This is not fixable with simple adjustments. Replace the bottle.

Product Facts

  • Cirkul Flow Filter (12-Pack): The Cirkul Flow Filter is a carbon-based filter element that reduces unwanted particles and chlorine from your water, enhancing taste and allowing you to filter and flavor on-the-go. Material: Carbon-based Fast Flow Filter Element Lifespan: 20 Gallons (about a month of typical use) Connection: Locks into Cirkul's Comfort Grip Lid with a 1/4-turn quick connect. If you use a Flow Filter, make sure it's properly locked into the lid with a quarter turn. A loose filter can create a secondary leak path, even if the lid and cartridge are fine.
