Quick answer
Replace the Willow 360 Flextube Set every 3 months or sooner if you notice reduced suction, cracks, or discoloration. Keeping a spare set on hand lets you swap mid-day instead of washing after every session.
Why replacement timing matters
The Flextube is the milk path that carries milk from breast to bag. Over time, repeated washing and wear can cause tiny cracks or stiffness that reduce suction and affect pump performance. Replacing on schedule helps maintain consistent output and hygiene.
Signs it's time to replace early
Even before the 3-month mark, look for cloudy or sticky tubing, visible cracks, or a drop in suction. If milk flows back toward the pump or you hear a hissing sound during use, the Flextube may have a leak and should be swapped immediately.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I replace the Flextube Set?
Willow recommends replacing the Flextube Set every 3 months. If you pump heavily or notice any changes in suction, replace it sooner. Set a calendar reminder or note the date on the package when you start using a new set.
Can I wash the Flextube Set in the dishwasher?
Yes, the Flextube Set is dishwasher safe. Place it on the top rack away from heating elements. Let it air dry completely before the next use.
How do I know if my Flextube is damaged?
Look for cracks, stiffness, discoloration, or a cloudy appearance. If the pump seems less efficient or you hear air leaking, inspect the tubing closely and replace if needed. Hold the tubing up to a light to spot tiny cracks that aren't visible otherwise.
Can I use the Flextube Set with other Willow pumps?
The 360 Flextube Set is designed specifically for the Willow 360 pump. Check your pump model before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
