Quick answer

The Yami Yugi S.H.Figuarts figure is an excellent choice for Yu-Gi-Oh fans who want a detailed, posable collectible that captures the character's iconic look from the anime.

Why this figure stands out for collectors

Bandai's S.H.Figuarts line is known for high articulation and screen-accurate sculpts. This Yami Yugi figure continues that tradition, offering a 6.24-inch scale that fits well with other figures in the series. The 2025 release year means it's relatively new, so availability is still good if you act soon.

For fans who grew up with the anime, owning a figure that can recreate iconic poses from the Duel Monsters era adds a nostalgic layer. The box size (approximately 11.75 x 7 x 4 inches) also makes it suitable for display without taking up too much shelf space.

Trade-offs to consider before buying

While the figure is highly detailed, it does not include a duel disk or extensive card accessories—something some collectors might expect. If you want a figure that comes with a large game mat or multiple card props, you may need to look at other options or buy accessories separately.

The price point of USD 71.24 (compared to a catalog price of USD 94.99) offers good value for an S.H.Figuarts release, but it's still an investment. Budget-conscious fans might want to compare it to static prize figures, which are cheaper but lack articulation.

Decision rules for buying Yami Yugi S.H.Figuarts

  • Check articulation needs: If you want to pose the figure in dynamic duel scenes, the S.H.Figuarts line offers excellent articulation. If you prefer a static display piece, a cheaper prize figure may suffice.
  • Verify authenticity: Because popular anime figures are often counterfeited, buy from reputable retailers. Check for Bandai branding and the official item number (4573102673015) on the box. Always confirm the item number to avoid fakes.
  • Consider display space: The box is about 11.75 x 7 x 4 inches, and the figure itself is 6.24 inches tall. Make sure your shelf or detolf can accommodate it, especially if you plan to keep the box.
  • Assess accessory expectations: This figure focuses on Yami Yugi himself, not on game accessories. If you want cards or a duel disk, look for third-party add-ons or a different product. Set expectations: this is a character figure, not a playset.
