Before you start
Make sure the CO₂ cylinder is fully inserted and the Bubble Hub is securely attached to the bottle. A common mistake is not twisting the Bubble Hub onto the bottle threads until it clicks, which can cause leaks or prevent carbonation. Also, check that the Sip cartridge is properly seated in the lid before closing it.
Step-by-step setup guide
- 1. Wash the bottle and lid: Hand wash the Cirkul Plus Bottle and Lid with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let them air dry completely before use. Do not put the Bubble Hub or CO₂ cylinder in water. Residual moisture can affect carbonation; ensure all parts are dry.
- 2. Fill the bottle with cold water: Fill the bottle with cold still water up to the fill line. Do not use hot water or carbonated water. Cold water holds carbonation better. Using warm water will result in less fizz.
- 3. Attach the Bubble Hub to the bottle: Screw the Bubble Hub onto the bottle's threaded neck. Twist until it is hand-tight and you feel a slight click. Do not overtighten. A loose connection will cause gas to escape during carbonation.
- 4. Insert a Sip cartridge into the lid: Open the lid on the Bubble Hub and push a Sip cartridge firmly into the slot until it clicks into place. Close the lid securely. If the cartridge is not fully seated, the system won't dispense flavor.
- 5. Install the CO₂ cylinder: Unscrew the cap on the back of the Bubble Hub and insert the CO₂ cylinder with the nozzle facing inward. Tighten the cap until you hear a brief hiss, then stop. If you tighten too much, you may damage the cylinder seal; stop at the first hiss.
- 6. Carbonate your water: Press the carbonation button on the Bubble Hub firmly for 2–3 seconds. Release and wait for the hissing to stop. Repeat once or twice for stronger carbonation. Pressing too many times can over-carbonate and cause fizzing when you open the bottle.
- 7. Enjoy your sparkling water: Remove the Bubble Hub from the bottle, screw on the lid, and drink. You can also pour over ice or add fruit for flavor. Always remove the Bubble Hub before drinking to avoid accidental activation.
