The NiSi Bluetooth Shutter Release uses interchangeable coiled cables, each designed for a specific group of camera models. The CF1 cable works with Canon bodies such as the R6, R, RP, and many EOS DSLRs. The N1 cable supports older Nikon pro bodies like the D850, D810, and D5, while the N3 cable fits newer Nikon Z-series and mid-range DSLRs like the D750 and D7200.
How to connect and use your NiSi Bluetooth shutter release
- Step 1: Insert the correct cable: Plug the appropriate cable (CF1, N1, or N3) into your camera's remote or shutter release port. Ensure the connector is fully seated and the locking mechanism, if present, is engaged. Using the wrong cable can damage the port; double-check your camera model in the compatibility list.
- Step 2: Turn on the remote: Press and hold the power button on the NiSi Bluetooth remote until the LED blinks. The remote will automatically search for a paired camera; no smartphone app is needed. If the LED does not blink, replace the remote's battery and try again.
- Step 3: Test the connection: Press the shutter button on the remote halfway to focus, then fully to take a photo. The camera should respond immediately. If not, move closer (within 10 meters) and ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering. A delayed or missed shot usually means the cable is loose or the remote is out of range.
