Quick answer

If you want new characters, events, and promo cards to mix into any Feature Film, go with the Guest Stars Box. If you prefer a consolidated rulebook, achievement lists, and Epic Finale cards for Series 3, the S3 Bonus Features Box is the better pick.

What each box offers

The Final Girl: Guest Stars Box (USD 16.49) is a grab bag of extras and promos. It includes 11 Secret Envelopes, 5 Signature Action Cards, 5 Vehicle Action Cards, 15 Proxy Event Cards, 3 Proxy Item Cards, 4 Final Girl Promo Cards, plus two character packs: Carolyn's Revenge and Grandma's Grudge. This box is designed to add variety and surprise to any game session, regardless of which Feature Film you are playing.

The Final Girl: S3 Bonus Features Box (USD 8.09) is smaller and more focused. It contains a Feature Film Rulebook that collects rules from all five Series 3 Feature Films, achievement lists, and 5 Epic Finale cards (one for each Series 3 Killer). It also doubles as storage for the Gruesome Death Books and Lore Book from Series 3. This box is for players who own multiple Series 3 films and want a streamlined reference and a few extra challenges.

Trade-offs to consider

  • Content volume vs. focus: The Guest Stars Box has more items overall, but they are mostly small cards and envelopes. The S3 Bonus Box has fewer items, but each one directly supports Series 3 gameplay. Choose Guest Stars for quantity and variety; choose S3 Bonus for targeted support.
  • Compatibility: Guest Stars components work with any Feature Film. The S3 Bonus Box's rulebook and Epic Finale cards only apply to Series 3 films. Guest Stars is more flexible if you own films from multiple series.
  • Storage value: The S3 Bonus Box is designed to store your Series 3 Gruesome Death Books and Lore Book. The Guest Stars Box does not offer storage. If you need to organize Series 3 materials, the Bonus Box is the better buy.
