Quick Answer
The Greatest Golfers Top Trumps card game lets you compare stats of legendary players like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus to win battles. It is a compact, portable game perfect for family game nights, road trips, or outdoor gatherings.
Why This Deck Stands Out
Unlike other Top Trumps decks that focus on fictional characters or vehicles, the Greatest Golfers edition celebrates real sports icons. Each card features a different golf legend with categories like driving distance, major wins, and career earnings. This makes it both a game and a mini trivia collection for golf fans.
Who Will Enjoy It Most
Golf enthusiasts will appreciate seeing their favorite players represented, while casual players can enjoy the simple head-to-head gameplay. The deck works well for ages 6 and up, making it a good choice for family game nights. However, if you are looking for a deep strategy game, this is a lighter, quicker experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you play Greatest Golfers Top Trumps?
Each player gets a hand of cards. The first player picks a category from their top card (e.g., driving distance). All players read their value for that category. The player with the highest value wins the round and collects the other cards. Play continues until one player holds all the cards.
What stats are on the cards?
Cards include categories such as driving distance, major wins, career earnings, and putting average. The exact categories vary per card, so you must choose wisely. Check each card's strongest stat before picking a category.
Is this game suitable for kids?
Yes, the game is recommended for ages 6 and up. Younger children may need help reading the stats, but the gameplay itself is simple enough for most kids to grasp quickly.
How many cards are in the deck?
The deck contains 30 cards featuring different golfers, plus a rules card. This provides enough variety for multiple rounds without being overwhelming.
Can you play with more than two players?
Yes, the game works with 2 to 6 players. For larger groups, the winner of each round collects all the cards, and the game ends when one player has the entire deck. For larger groups, expect shorter rounds but more competition.
