Installation steps
- Check compatibility: Confirm your tent or hammock is a 3-person Gen 3.0 model. Look for a tag near the main seam or on the stuff sack. Older or smaller units will not seal correctly. If your unit is not Gen 3.0, the cover will not fit.
- Position the cover: Lay the Hatch Cover over the center hatch opening from the inside of the tent. The fabric should sit flat against the inner mesh or solid floor panel. Make sure the cover is not twisted or bunched.
- Secure the fasteners: Press the hook-and-loop tabs (or clip system, depending on your version) firmly around the hatch rim. Work your way around to ensure a snug seal with no gaps. A loose corner will let cold air in; double-check each fastener.
- Test the seal: Close the main tent zipper and gently push on the cover from outside. If you feel air movement, re-secure the fasteners. For extra insulation, place a small blanket over the cover. A good seal should feel solid and draft-free.
