Quick answer
To identify a Rokimoto mini figure blind box, check the wave number printed on the packaging, compare the character's outfit and accessories, and look for the rare Slurprise variant indicator.
Why wave numbers matter
Each Rokimoto wave introduces new characters and variations. Wave 02, for example, includes Yuki the Lion, while earlier waves may feature different characters. Knowing the wave helps you track which figures you already have and what to expect in a new box.
Variations and rare Slurprise figures
Rokimoto figures come with different variations, so even the same character can look different. Wave 02 includes a chance to find a rare 'Slurprise' variant, which is a special edition with a unique design. Collectors often seek these rare finds, so identifying them correctly is important.
Steps to identify your Rokimoto figure
- Check the wave number on the packaging: Look for the wave number (e.g., Wave 02) printed on the box or the figure's base. This tells you which series the figure belongs to. Common mistake: assuming all Rokimoto figures are from the same wave. Always verify the wave number.
- Examine the character's outfit and accessories: Compare the figure's clothing and props to the official images for that wave. Each character has distinct variations, so note any differences in colors or details. Checkpoint: if the outfit doesn't match the standard design, it might be a rare variation.
- Look for the Slurprise variant indicator: For Wave 02 figures, check for a special marking or packaging element that signals the rare Slurprise version. This variant is usually highlighted in the official product description. Common mistake: overlooking subtle packaging differences. Compare with official images to spot the Slurprise indicator.
