A correctly installed lid prevents leaks and ensures the built-in magnet works as intended. The Rise Universal Replacement Lid is designed to fit 18oz, 25oz, and 35oz tumblers, but slight misalignment can cause spills or a weak magnetic hold.
Installation Steps
- 1. Remove the Old Lid: Twist the existing lid counterclockwise and lift it off. Clean the tumbler rim thoroughly to remove any residue or debris that could prevent a good seal. A dirty rim is the most common cause of leaks after replacement.
- 2. Inspect the New Lid's Gasket: Check that the silicone gasket on the Rise Universal Replacement Lid is seated evenly in its groove. If it's loose or pinched, reseat it by pressing it firmly into place. A misaligned gasket will cause leaks even if the lid is installed correctly.
- 3. Align the Lid: Position the lid on the tumbler so the MagFlip™ opening aligns with the drinking spout. The magnet should face the handle or your preferred drinking side. Incorrect alignment will prevent the magnet from holding the lid open.
- 4. Press and Twist: Press the lid down evenly around the entire rim, then twist it clockwise until you feel a firm click. Do not force it—if it resists, realign and try again. A proper click confirms the lid is fully seated and locked.
- 5. Test the Magnet and Seal: Flip the lid open; it should stay in place due to the magnet. Close it and shake the tumbler gently over a sink to check for leaks. If the magnet doesn't hold or water escapes, repeat steps 2-4.
