Steps to organize with extra dividers
- Remove everything from your rack: Take all cookware, lids, and other items off the rack so you have a clear view of the wire frame and existing dividers. A common mistake is trying to add dividers with items still on the rack — the clips won't seat properly.
- Decide where you need more support: Hold each extra divider against the rack's wire rungs where you notice the widest gaps. Mark those spots mentally or with a piece of tape. Focus on sections where you plan to store lids or thin pans — those areas benefit most from extra dividers.
- Snap the extra dividers into place: Position the divider's clips over the horizontal wire rungs and press down firmly until you hear or feel them click. Repeat for each additional divider. If a divider feels loose, check that both clips are fully engaged on the wire — partial attachment can cause the divider to tilt.
- Arrange your cookware by type and size: Place heavy pots and pans in the wider sections, then use the newly divided narrow slots for lids, cutting boards, and cookie sheets. Keep frequently used items at the front. Don't overcrowd a single slot — each divider should have one or two items so you can slide one out without disturbing the rest.
- Test the setup and adjust spacing: Try removing and replacing each item. If anything feels tight or wobbly, reposition the dividers to create a better fit. It's normal to move dividers once or twice after the first arrangement — the clips are designed to be repositioned easily.
