Step-by-step setup guide
- Step 1: Unbox and inspect: Open the bundle box and check that you have both scratch-off books (Couples Edition and Friends Edition) and the signature camera. Remove any protective film from the camera lens and screen. Keep the camera manual handy for specific battery and film instructions.
- Step 2: Install batteries: Open the battery compartment on the camera (usually on the bottom or side). Insert fresh batteries according to the polarity markings. Close the compartment securely. Use new alkaline or lithium batteries for best performance — rechargeable batteries may not provide enough power.
- Step 3: Load the film pack: Press the film eject button (if available) to open the film door. Slide a new instant film pack into the compartment until it clicks. Close the door. The camera will automatically eject a dark slide or protective cover — do not pull it out manually. Wait for the camera to eject the slide completely before taking your first photo.
- Step 4: Power on and test: Press the power button and wait for the camera to initialize. The frame counter should show 10 (or the number of shots in your film pack). Take a test shot of a well-lit object to confirm the camera is working. If the frame counter doesn't appear or the camera doesn't power on, recheck battery installation.
- Step 5: Scratch and shoot: Open your Couples Edition or Friends Edition book, scratch off a card to reveal the adventure, and follow the instructions. Use the camera to capture the moment as directed by the card. Keep the camera nearby during each adventure so you don't miss spontaneous photo opportunities.
