Quick answer
Apply Gotti Press On Nails by prepping your natural nails, selecting the right size, applying adhesive, and pressing firmly for 30 seconds. With proper care, they last up to two weeks.
Choosing your Gotti press-on set
Gotti offers two distinct press-on styles: Barely There (#6P) is a sheer, natural set that looks like your nails, only better—perfect for everyday wear, the office, or minimalist moments. Sugar Rush (#7P) delivers a fun, candy-bright finish ideal for summer days, festivals, or anytime you want extra personality.
Both sets are reusable with proper care and feature a durable, chip-resistant finish. Your choice depends on the vibe you want: understated elegance or playful sparkle.
Tools you will need
You only need a few items: rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover (to dehydrate the nail), a cuticle pusher, a buffer or file, and the Gotti press-on set. No special tools required.
Step-by-step application guide
- Prep your natural nails: Remove any old polish, push back cuticles, and lightly buff the nail surface. Wipe each nail with rubbing alcohol to remove oil and moisture. Skipping dehydration is the most common cause of early lifting.
- Select the right size for each nail: Test each Gotti press-on against your natural nail. The press-on should cover the entire nail bed without overlapping the cuticle or sidewalls. Write the size on the plastic tab to stay organized. A too-small press-on leaves gaps; a too-large one lifts at the edges.
- Apply adhesive to the press-on: Peel the backing off the adhesive tab and press it onto the underside of the press-on nail. Alternatively, apply a thin layer of nail glue to the press-on and your natural nail. Use enough glue to cover the nail but not so much that it oozes out when pressed.
- Press and hold firmly: Align the press-on at a 45-degree angle near the cuticle, then press down and forward. Hold for 30 seconds with steady pressure. Repeat for each nail. Insufficient pressing time is the top reason press-ons pop off early.
- Seal and finish: Apply a thin layer of clear top coat over the press-on and the seam where it meets your natural nail. This locks the edge and adds shine. Sealing the cuticle area prevents water and dirt from getting underneath.
