Quick answer
To use the Blush Floret Nursing Cover for discreet feeding, drape it over your shoulder and baby, adjust the boatneck opening for clear visibility, and secure the fabric as needed.
Why the Blush Floret Nursing Cover stands out
The Blush Floret Nursing Cover combines a serene floral print with a timeless boatneck design. This allows you to maintain eye contact with your baby while feeding, avoiding the bulky feel of traditional covers.
Step-by-step guide to using your nursing cover
- Step 1: Position the cover over your shoulder: Drape the Blush Floret Nursing Cover over your shoulder, letting the fabric fall naturally. Ensure the boatneck opening is centered over your chest for easy access. Common mistake: Placing the cover too high or low can block your view. Adjust so the opening aligns with your baby's mouth.
- Step 2: Guide your baby under the cover: Bring your baby close to your chest and gently guide them under the cover. The boatneck design allows you to watch their latch without lifting the fabric. Checkpoint: If your baby seems fussy, the cover may be too close to their face. Pull it slightly away to improve airflow.
- Step 3: Adjust for privacy and comfort: Tuck the edges of the cover under your arm or use the built-in loop to secure it. This keeps the fabric in place and prevents gaps. Common mistake: Leaving the cover loose can cause it to slip. Secure it firmly but not tightly to avoid discomfort.
- Step 4: Monitor and feed discreetly: Use the boatneck opening to check your baby's latch and breathing. The cover's soft fabric muffles sound and provides privacy without drawing attention. Checkpoint: If you need more airflow, gently lift the front edge of the cover for a moment—the boatneck keeps your baby covered.
