Quick answer
The Cozy Carrier Cover in Cool Grey snaps onto your baby carrier to provide a warm, wind-resistant layer for your little one during cold-weather outings.
Why use a carrier cover instead of a jacket or blanket
A carrier cover is designed to fit over your baby carrier without adding bulk or compromising safety. Unlike a loose blanket, it stays in place and allows full access to your baby's face for monitoring airflow. The Cozy Carrier Cover also avoids the awkward gap between your coat and the carrier, which can let cold air in.
How to attach and use The Cozy Carrier Cover
- Prepare your carrier and baby: Put your baby in the carrier as usual, ensuring proper positioning and a snug fit. Dress your baby in a light layer—avoid puffy coats under the cover. A common mistake is over-bundling, which can lead to overheating. Check your baby's neck or back for warmth.
- Snap the cover onto the carrier straps: Hold the cover by the top edge and snap the integrated clips around the carrier shoulder straps. Make sure the cover is centered and the fabric drapes evenly over your baby. Check that the snaps are secure and not twisted. Loose snaps can let cold air in or cause the cover to shift.
- Adjust the bottom and sides: Pull the cover down to cover your baby's legs and torso. Tuck the bottom edge under the carrier waistband or between your body and the carrier for a snug seal. Leave the cover loose enough for your baby to move their legs, but tight enough to block drafts.
- Monitor your baby's comfort: Check your baby's face regularly to ensure clear airways and no signs of overheating. The cover is breathable, but direct airflow around the face is important. If your baby feels sweaty or flushed, remove a layer or take a break indoors.
